This level is aimed at first-time musicians. Students will develop familiarity with the piano, some basic note reading skills and also engage in fun music-making games and activities to promote musical development. The recommended lesson duration for beginners is 30 minutes
 

Students continue to consolidate note-reading and musical skills with focus on interpretation and style, in addition to developing technical command of the instrument. Grade examinations may be undertaken as required, and knowledge of music theory will be developed. 30 - 40 minute lessons are recommended at this level.

Advanced classes will focus on further enhancing musical knowledge and technical skills. This may include preparation for higher grade, diploma examinations, recital and practical examinations. A lesson duration of 45-60 minutes is recommended depending on individual goals.
